MY journey to becoming a doula
I’m Kashauna (Ka-shaw-nah) Bailey, a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Infant Massage Instructor, Community advocate and Facilitator.If there's one thing I can say for sure, I've always been passionate about babies and maternal health, naturally guiding me to become a Doula. I started on this fulfilling path in 2010 when I attended a volunteer labour support training, which led me to complete my first Doula training in 2017. My goal has always been to combine my passion for maternal health with my commitment to community, advocacy and education. I wholeheartedly believe in the philosophy of Ubuntu—"I am because you are"—which perfectly expresses my approach to Doula care.
As your Doula, I am devoted to nurturing meaningful connections between you and your baby while supporting your journey from pregnancy to postpartum. My approach prioritizes fostering bonding and enhancing attachments, ensuring that you feel knowledgeable, heard, safe and respected every step of the way.

My children are my centre. They ground me, guide me and inspire me every day. Each of my three pregnancies and postpartum journeys was unique, giving me a profound understanding of the highs and lows that come with this transformative experience.
Through my experiences, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for balance and simplicity. I believe in taking a direct approach to navigating uncertainty and creating balance in life and aspire to do the same working with you!
